Nancy Reid (fiddle, vocals) and David "Alabama" Frank formed the duo Root 2 Music to find out what music happens when Celtic fiddle runs into Delta slide guitar way back up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.

Back from Memphis - Busy Week

We had a blast at 2018 IBC, but it is great to get back into the mountains.  We enjoyed entertaining the Virginia Association for Biological Farming at The Homestead last night.  Nancy and I composted some sustainable tunes for the event.  Friday night we hope to see some after party-ers from the Cliffton Forge Blues Festival jam drop by our gig at Jack Mason's Tavern.  Saturday night we return to our home away from home for the comfortable gezilligheid of the Peaks of Otter Lodge.

Do hot cakes really sell? Root 2 Music's new "Appalachian Blues" CD's surely do.

Get them while you can at the Peaks of Otter Lodge Gift Shop (or find David or Nancy).  13 tracks, original tunes on every track, special guest Lon Reid on bass, recorded at Gene Bowlen's BeArcade Studios, mixed by Tim Starnes, featured on Kerry Hurley's Blues with a Feeling radio show . . . this CD is good and people want it.
